RebelMouse

☀ ☀ ☀  If you are interested in streamlining your various social media posts, or just web content you like, RebelMouse is the website for you. RebelMouse was voted one of TIME’s 50 Best Websites in 2013. It allows you to create a site that pulls from all of your social media accounts. Currently the desktop version outshines the mobile app by far. On the app, feeds have difficulty loading, privileges are forbidden and menus are different. The lack of usability on the mobile app is a drawback, but the desktop version more than makes up for that. Journalistic purposes include building audiences and storing content in one place. — Carly Henry

☀ ☀ RebelMouse takes your social media pages and arranges them in a dynamic social site. Basically, you can create a “front page” of your social profiles. Unfortunately, this app fell short of my expectations. The instructions were unclear; I was not sure if this app would post for me on my social profiles, or just display my content. The process to set up social profiles is far too tedious. Although the app isn’t very user friendly, many local news stations, such as Fox 5 San Diego, have already taken advantage of it and have shared content. Rebel Mouse is like Pinterest for journalists. — Melissa Szenda
