CronkiteLab.News is a collection of field notes from experiments in new journalism technique and technology from the students and faculty of the Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication and their peers at Arizona State University. Journalism innovations don’t just happen. They flow from successful experiments — and even from those that appear to be unsuccessful, since no experiment is a failure if you learn from it.
We welcome reports of what doesn’t work as much as we value tests that seem to point us toward new and better ways. By fearlessly sharing the good and the bad, we hope to move ahead together as we seek to define the best practices of 21st century journalism.
